WHAT WE PROVIDE...

H. Sheinbaum and Associates, LLC is a boutique firm that specializes in geriatric care consulting in Westchester and Fairfield Counties. It was founded by Hildy Sheinbaum, RN after many years of working in the health care field and observing the lack of resources available to aging adults. As a nurse, Hildy was always the “go to” call for family, friends and others who found themselves in the midst of a healthcare crisis, with no understanding of available resources or knowledge about where to turn.

Whether there is a new diagnosis that is not fully understood, or a need:

For coordination of services in a home setting
For a change in living environment
To understand options available for an aging adult
For a comprehensive assessment of an aging adult with respect to safety, functionality and/or quality of life
For referrals for additional resources, such as eldercare attorneys, hospice and palliative care, Medicaid applications, or nursing home assistance
For support to simply “get through” each day

ABOUT HILDY...

Hildy Sheinbaum, RN, CDP is the owner of H.Sheinbaum & Associates, LLC, a geriatric consulting practice. Hildy has been a registered nurse for over 40 years and is a certified dementia practitioner who has vast experience working with the geriatric population. As a geriatric care manager, nurse advocate, clinical nurse, and most importantly, a daughter caring for her parents, Hildy has a unique understanding of all aspects of caring for older adults and their families.

Hildy has been in private practice for the past 10 years, and most recently was the Director of a Senior Placement Service at a large home care agency in Fairfield, CT, where she provided support and guidance to families in search of assisted living communities. Hildy assists individuals in navigating our often-broken health care system and educates and empowers individuals so that they can act prudently when in vulnerable situations. She has written blogs and recently aired a segment on The Exit Strategy Podcast (“Advancing Age: What Should We be Thinking About”) that can be heard here.
